Hello, and welcome to my journalism portfolio. My name is Katherine M. Brown. I work as a freelance journalist. On this website, you'll find some of my articles I've written. 

I'm passionate about social justice, and I use my journalism platform to bring attention to issues I care about. I cannot stand injustices. From an animal being abused, to a child being bullied by her peers, injustices enrage me. It's not just a casual interest of mine - it's a passion of mine. So, naturally, in my journalism career, I write about social issues and human rights issues. I also write about history. I don't shrink away from writing about the deep and heart-wrenching topics - the tough stuff. I've written articles about various societal issues, such as police brutality, missing females of color, and what it was like to be a health care worker during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Social issues that I'm passionate about include racial equality, abuse, bullying, animal rights, and wildlife conservation, along with others. 

In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing fiction, designing clothes, riding my bike, and wildlife watching. I also enjoy watching cartoons, reading my Bible, attending church activities, and spending time with my dog.
